My art reflects my love for nature! I interpret highlights from life experience focusing on color and texture. I enjoy using a variety of mediums through which to express myself including pastel, watercolor, oils and fabric. I challenge myself with each new painting, exploring design concepts, color variations and techniques. I am most pleased when I have been able to capture the ‘essence’ of the moment.
I studied art at Eastern Michigan University while obtaining my degree in Nursing. Since that time I have had the privilege of taking classes and workshops with individuals such as: Harley Brown, Richard McKinley, Terri Ford, Maggie Price, Donna Stenger, Allen Garns, Dodie Ballantine and Bill Lundquist. My works have shown at several juried shows in the greater Phoenix area including the Scottsdale Art School, Sedona and at Boyce Thompson Arboretum including a one person show at the Fair Trade Cafe in Phoenix, Arizona. I obtained Signature Status with the Arizona Pastel Artists Association in 2011.
